REEL SEATS
Stuart Machine Hood Reel Seats are used by the finest rod manufacturing companies and builders of fishing rods in the world. Precision machined, heavy duity hoods, and knurled non-slip nuts, as well as military spec anodizing, make this reel seat last a lifetime. The patented exension nose reel seat is a must for stand-up rods and off shore boat rods. The extended nose reel seat allows the angler to attach the front reel brace to the reel seat, instead of the foregrip of the rod, resulting in a more stable mount for the reel. Our B series Reel Seats are manufactured from 6061 T-6 aluminum with close tolarances, heavy duty wall, hood, and thread construction, and also accommodates all types of reels.
ROLLER GUIDES
Our exclusive roller design cradles the line and keeps it in the center where it belongs. Roller shafts are completely isolated from the fram by two form-fitting non-conductive and self-lubricating side plates, thus eliminating electrolysis. Unlike traditional roller guides which flatten the line and weaken it through stretching, the Centerline Roller Guide™ has innovative radius bevel built in to prevent the line from going flat and providing it more support. The roller guide is constructed as a one piece frame manufactured in aero marine grade aluminum and anodized to military specs.
ROLLER TOPS
A recessed frame provides internal clearance for the roller so the line cannot get behind the roller. A press-fit Teflon (registered trademark of Dupont) impregnated bearing provides smooth turning of the roller tip whether or not the top has been lubricated. All hardware on the top is 303 stainless steel roler and shafts, with military spec anodizing on frame. Our Centerline Roller Top has our innovative radus bevel built in exactly like our roller guide, offering better support and line control. Stuart Centerline Roller Tops are also available in stainless steel.
GIMBALS
Stuart aluminum gimbals are used with wood butts, as well as stand-up rods. They are manufactured from marine grade 6061 T-6 aluminum, and are available in three sizes, with four color finishes. Round edges help prevent deck marking, and gimbal notches securly fit all fighting belts, rod holders, and fighting chairs.
